5.a) Consideration of a Resolution of the Town of Hilton Head Island Authorizing the Implimentation of the Gullah History and Cultural Education Program for Town Employees and Officials
This is an important step in completing the 16 Town Council Adopted Gullah Geechee Task Force Recommendations. Gullah People, History, and Culture are invaluable assets to our community. It is the bare minimum that the Town would conduct a training class for new employees and council/committee members. This measure should pass this committee with NO changes and should be recommended to the Town Council unanimously. Anything less is a breach of duty of this committee and an insult to our Gullah neighbors. Thank you.
